A bunch of junk!

 "Good after some hassle" 2009-04-16
By Kirk G. Liebscher
The setup works great for both PC and PS2. BUT....it was a gift and when it arrived the lap adapter was not in the box. Disappointment to my son. After a couple phone calls, they finally agreed to send a new lap adapter which arrived about a week later. Would be 5 stars if they would have included the lap adapter to start.

You get a lot more of what you paid for!

I used this wheel with the Colin Mcrae 4 (for PC) and its awesome.

You can get familiar with the wheel in 20 minutes of playing..after that you will play even better than with the keyboard.

The only problem that i found its that the wheel hub its made of plastic and it moves, just a little, to the front and to the back.

"Great simple controller for an even greater price" 2009-05-26
By Jose Marval
This is a SIMPLE controller that WORKS flawlessly.

I've used this for years, playing Fifa 07, Fifa 08, Madden, Prince of Persia series, and many more. Never failed to me. And just needed to plug in to be instantly recognized and ready to use. The first one of these I got (about 4 years ago) is still in use, and looks and works just like new. This shows the high quality of these controllers.

Lately I bought 2 more maxfires to play with my sister and brother in a Nintendo 64 emulator. It works great with pretty much any game. The emulator lets you configure the button layout for each controller connected, and you choose wich one is gonna be the 1st, 2nd or 3rd controller.

100% recommended.

"Nicely constructed controller, and not too expensive." 2009-05-05
By John Prothero
I use this controller for Windows XP which locates and installs the driver right away. There doesn't seem to be much need for calibrating it that I've noticed, but to get the most out of this controller I recommend a free program called "Xpadder" which will allow you to assign keyboard functions to the D-pad and the eight buttons. Xpadder can be downloaded from the Major Geeks web site at majorgeeks.com. If you use the Firefox web browser, you can find a plug in for that web site for your search bar using Mycroft Project. You'll be able to play games which normally use the keyboard much better.

 "Almost perfect for emulators!" 2009-03-20
By Lenard McLean (Jacksonville NC)
It's no secret that this gamepad does NOT really look anything like the controllers used for the old consoles, (NES, SNES, etc.)

That said - this is a GREAT, affordable game controller for the classics. This controller feels quite solid even though it is SUPER-light weight. The buttons (including the D-pad) are very responsive. The D-pad is the directional control pad on the controller by the way.

The only slight flaw to this controller can be EASILY overcome with some thought. See, this controller has NO designated start and select buttons. I simply assigned two of the trigger keys on the top of the controller to act as the start and select keys inside my emulator's settings. Works perfect for me!

In conclusion - this is NOT AT ALL for serious (modern) gamers. It does NOT have force feedback, dual shock, or any of those (worthless to me) features. But if you are looking for a comfortable, easy-to-use controller for your classic games and emulators, but don't want to pay big money for the modified authentic controllers out there - BUY AT LEAST A COUPLE OF THESE great little works of affordable tech.

By the way - I OWN legal copies of ALL of the games that I play using emulators. I just can't get the consoles to work any more after YEARS of extensive game play.

 "cheapest AND most reliable" 2009-01-27
By nopotato
its $2 less expensive than the ubiquitous logitech, it seems a little less well designed, but it works where the logitech sometimes doesnt - i own the logitech & its faileed a few times - & its chunkier ergonomics are appealing on use.

 "Good Item" 2008-07-12
By Badram
it is Good item but it didn't have analog stick and didn't have start button and select button

i just play pes2008 with it
